Mindfulness is easy to practice with a little preparation. In essence, mindfulness is doing everything with intention, and being ever-present in the moment.
Mindfulness is not about thinking about the future or the past, but simply turning our focus to what we are doing at that exact moment. To practice mindfulness, start small. Be aware of your body, including places you're holding tension.
Think about where your mind is, what your emotions are, and what your five senses are telling you. Observe your surroundings objectively.
Take a moment to focus on your breathing. When conversing with someone, try listening to fully understand, rather than letting your mind wander or thinking about how you'll respond. As you practice these things, you'll see how it feels to be fully present, rather than distracted by the past or future.
