Dr. Kimberly Dunkin PydD, LPC, SEP founded 14 Peaks. Kimberly desires to walk alongside individuals restoring hope through body-based healing. She believes God made us fascinating beings with the capacity to heal. She is passionate about helping individuals overcome PTSD, somatic issues, medical trauma, phobias, adoption issues, and developmental trauma. She has a deep appreciation for the courage it takes to reach out for help and admires those who do so. She thrives on putting together the puzzle and asking “what makes that behavior make sense?” Kimberly and her husband of 30 years have one son and enjoy being part of the adoption community. She has been a teacher, soccer coach, and martial arts instructor over the past twenty years. In her free time, she enjoys riding ATV’s, paddle boarding and skiing. Kimberly has her Doctorate in Psychology and wrote her dissertation on “A Neurophysiological Approach for gaps in neurodevelopment due to Developmental Trauma.” She also has a MA in Professional Counseling and a MA in Religious Education. Kimberly is a Somatic Experiencing Practioner and Assistant Instructor for Somatic Experiencing International and has trained in EMDR, BASE (Relational Bodywork and Somatic Education), Neuroaffective Touch Level, and Interpersonal Neurobiology.
