Michelle is a licensed therapist who specializes in trauma, emotional wounds, anxiety, and identity issues. She grew up moving from country to country and strives to create a safe space for people from all areas of the world. Since 2014, Michelle has volunteered and worked in the mental health field. She has worked in residential, IOP/PHP, community, and outpatient setting. Michelle is most passionate about helping individuals to heal, overcome obstacles, pursue goals, and strengthen their relationships to self and others. Michelle believes that the therapeutic relationship is a crucial aspect of the healing process and fosters an atmosphere of safety, compassion, and empowerment that she combines with scientifically evidence-based interventions. Michelle regularly utilizes EMDR, cognitive behavioral therapy, and narrative therapy. Michelle also incorporates techniques from DBT, family systems theory, and attachment theory depending on the client’s needs. Michelle is passionate about creating a space where everyone has the safety to heal, explore their identity, and pursue positive change. When not in the therapy office, Michelle can be found making pottery and taking care of her questionable number of plants. She loves exploring new places and spends a lot of time at concerts, new restaurants, and coffee shops.
