Introduction

Warm welcome! My name is Jerilea (Jeri) and I serve clients in individual therapy for depression, trauma transformation, grief processing, panic disorder, recovery from narcissistic abuse or bullying (workplace bullying included), self-injury, and navigating general life stressors. With 20 years in the counseling field and a wealth of lived experience domestic and international, I bring a holistically cultural lens to successfully support older teens and adults navigate healing and recovery. DEPRESSION RECOVERY Using evidenced-based modalities such as Mindful Self-Compassion, CBT, and with a holistic lens, let's create a treatment plan that works for you. ANXIETY DISORDERS and PANIC DISORDER Using ERP (Exposure & Response Prevention) and mindfulness tools, let's find your path back to a life fully lived! GRIEF SUPPORT, INCLUDING TRAUMATIC GRIEF Your loss is unique and while there is no 'recovery' from grief, there are ways to integrate grief into the life you've been forced to forge. Allow me to walk you through this and create together what your new "okay" might look like. PSYCHOLOGICAL/NARCISSISTIC ABUSE The too-often minimized painful effects of emotional abuse requires a therapist with a distinct understanding of the recovery road, and who uses safe modalities that don't serve to reinforce mental distress or gaslighting. PTSD Post-traumatic stress disorder severely impacts quality of life. Jerilea offers WET (Written Exposure Treatment) to address PTSD symptoms. This 5-session evidenced-based intervention is brief and an excellent alternative to EMDR. https://www.ptsd.va.gov/professional/treat/txessentials/written_exposure_therapy.asp Other areas that include clinician's lived experience: family estrangement, loved ones suffering from substance use disorder, self-injury as unhealthy coping, trauma caused by financial stressors, relationships/friendship, perfectionism struggles, life transitions. CLINICAL APPROACH Integrative, embracing trauma-sensitive, Person-Centered and Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) tools, along with interventions informed by Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Solution-focused (SFT), and Exposure & Response Prevention (ERP) therapies. For PTSD: WET is the primary intervention. As a mindfulness practitioner, therapy includes neuroscience-friendly practices proven to enhance overall wellness and reduce myriad symptoms.
