Introduction

Hello and welcome to my site. I am an LCSW with over twenty years of experience working with teens and adults in various settings, including private practice, intensive outpatient programs, residential therapeutic settings, and community mental health centers. I have been trained in evidence-based therapies including TF-CBT and EMDR for coping with traumatic events, ERP/ExRP for OCD and CBT for Anxiety and Depression. I would love to meet you to see if we are a good fit. If you choose to work with me, I will provide a warm, non-judgmental environment, where you can openly share your experiences and begin to find relief from negative feelings or unhealthy symptoms. I am here to help you cope with mental health struggles, life transitions or challenges, and to help you understand the behaviors and thinking patterns that may be interfering with your daily life. I will provide support as we work collaboratively to help you develop self-awareness and learn cognitive behavioral therapy tools, allowing you to reach your emotional and behavioral goals. Therapy can help you decrease symptoms associated with traumatic events, depression and anxiety and make other positive changes in your life including increasing your sense of self-worth and improving your relationships. I received my undergraduate degree in Psychology from Tufts University and my Masters Degree in Social Work from Hunter College. I have extensive postgraduate training from The Beck Institute, The EMDR Institute, The Core Curriculum on Childhood Trauma, The Cognitive Behavior Institute and Postpartum Support International and completed the Certificate Program in Adoption from The Institute for Families at Rutgers University School of Social Work. I am also a Certified Clinical Supervisor for therapists in the licensing process and SIFI certified for graduate level therapists. I am experienced in and available to provide supervision to graduate students as well as Licensed Social Workers or Licensed Associate Counselors in NJ.
