Introduction

Are you struggling in your marriage or relationship? Have you been thinking, “This is too hard. I don’t even want to be married anymore.” Or how many times have you Googled, “couples therapist near me?” You may find yourself feeling frustrated, lonely, disconnected, angry, or simply tired of trying to “fix it.” Maybe you and your spouse or partner are stuck in a cycle of communication that only leads to feeling misunderstood or hurt. Looking for help may feel like your last hope, but I see it as a first step towards connection. So if you resonate with any of these thoughts, feelings, and experiences, you are in the right place! I want to help you get out of this cycle, by helping you learn new ways to express your needs and develop healthy responses toward one another. I use evidence and research-based therapy with my couples, so that you can make changes that will create a lasting bond and set you up for years of a meaningful relationship together. Couples therapy is designed to give you and your significant other tools to improve your communication skills, create healthier relationship patterns, and set apart time for connection, or finding ways to reconnect. We will work to repair the parts of your relationship that may feel broken and re-establish a strong foundation, so your relationship can flourish, and you can enjoy being with each other again! I believe in the redemptive power of therapy, because I believe it offers us the ability to make helpful adjustments to our thoughts, feelings, and experiences that may try to get in the way of us living our lives well. I have found that for many of the people I work with, having someone to navigate life's challenges with them has led to lasting changes, by helping them to have increased understanding of those thoughts, feelings, and experiences, deeper connections in their relationships, and a more positive view of themselves. It can feel overwhelming or even scary to tackle some of the challenges you may be facing on your own, which is why I am here, to partner with you, so that you do not have to do it alone. I want to help equip you with skills and tools, so that you can create a life worth living, and then go live it! If you are interested in learning more about my approach you can go to my website, or schedule a free 30 minute phone appointment, to see if I would be a good fit.
