I specialize in helping teens cope with ADHD, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and self-harm. My goal is to help teens develop healthy coping skills to overcome anxiety and depression, boost their self-esteem and self-worth, and gain confidence in public speaking, test-taking, and peer relations. I help teens learn how to cope with anger and help them navigate through life stressors and transitions. My passion allows me to come alongside teens and provide them with a safe space to speak freely and without judgment. I am a fun psychotherapist and value a trusting rapport with adolescents. One of my core values is trust, and in my experience working with teens, it does take time to build that trust up. It is essential for your teen to feel comfortable with their therapist, and I will make sure that happens. Being a parent to a teenager is HARD. I aim to help your teen develop healthy coping skills to combat general or social anxiety, learn ways to love themselves, boost their self-esteem and self-worth, and process their emotions. I will work with you and your teen on healthy communication in conflict. My approach to therapy comes from a client-centered, strengths-based, and positive psychology space. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a structured and goal-oriented form of talk therapy. It works by identifying, tackling, and changing unhelpful thinking to improve your mindset, behaviors, and overall well-being with practice. I also use Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a structured and goal-oriented form of talk therapy focused on helping people who feel emotions intensely. DBT aims to help you understand and accept your complex and difficult feelings.
