Associate Marriage and Family Therapist You Rule Therapy
Specialties: Anxiety, Depression, Grief, Stress, Relationship Issues,

Introduction

You might be facing relationship conflict (with yourself or others); moving through grief or navigating a stressful life transition; grappling with sexual or identity concerns; or dealing with substance use challenges... Maybe it's something different or yet unidentified. But a part of you knows you don't need to struggle with it alone anymore. I work with clients to shed suffering and shame, and to grow the acceptance and authenticity that feed a well-lived life. I bring an encouraging presence and relational style to the therapeutic experience, enlivening sessions with humor. My training in Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy helps partners understand and communicate about conflict from an attachment perspective. I use Motivational Interviewing and harm reduction strategies to individualize recovery from drugs/alcohol. With deep experience in grief, I can support through the loss of a loved one, job, ability, home, identity, etc. I welcome teen (13+) and adult clients, as individuals or in couples, family dyads, or other relationship configurations. I have immediate availability for new clients in person in the Mission District in San Francisco, as well as virtually throughout California. I also offer some sliding scale spots to help make care more affordable. So if you are thinking, feeling, or acting in ways that are keeping you from the life you desire—or that seem unspeakable to share with others—I invite you to reach out and talk to me.
