Introduction

Hi, I’m Alecia! I’m so glad you took a leap and landed here! Seeking additional support through therapy is a courageous step that can lead to a rewarding and transformative experience. Perhaps you’re here because you’ve been feeling weighed down by past experiences and self doubt. Or maybe you desire to find relief from anxious thoughts and want to learn more helpful ways of coping. Whoever you are and whatever the reason, you are welcome here. I have a passion for empowering women to connect with their authentic selves and become the best version of themselves possible. I specialize in working with adult women (21 and older) experiencing personal challenges related to stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem/self-worth, new motherhood and other life transitions. I believe that everyone possesses positive, innate tools that can help them conquer life’s challenges and reach personal growth. Sometimes, however, our thoughts, emotions, and past experiences can make it difficult for us to experience peace and live life how we desire. My compassionate, strengths-based and person-centered approach is aimed at helping clients gain insight and self-awareness, build resilience, develop healthy coping skills, and improve overall self-care. While working with me, you can expect to be heard along with engaging conversation, appropriate humor, and a healthy dose of gentle challenging. I integrate varied therapeutic methods including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Self-Compassion, Mindfulness, Somatic Techniques, and Christian-based counseling. Valuing the importance of the therapeutic relationship, I offer an empathic, non-judgmental space that welcomes vulnerability, self-reflection and personal exploration. I look forward to the opportunity to support you along your journey towards internal peace and healing!
