Attachment is the powerful force that bonds two complete strangers into becoming each other's confidant, and significant other. Yet sometimes along the way, external stressors, parenting differences, emotional wounds, mental health struggles, work life balance, differences in upbringing can all interact to fray that attachment bond and weaken that connection. The couple might notice an increase in frequency, intensity, or duration of conflicts. They might feel unsupported or unheard by their partner and notice their patience towards their partner wearing thin. They might feel trapped by the endlessly repeating cycles of discord. My specialization in couples therapy is informed by my extensive clinical and research experience on romantic relationships. By utilizing treatment supported by a wealth of empirical evidence, I will help my couples gain a deeper understanding of their relationship discord, and learn to work together to free themselves from its grasp.
