Introduction

I am Alexandria J Aasen, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Arizona, Nevada, Illinois, and Utah. I started my career in Illinois over a decade ago after obtaining my Masters in community counseling from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology. My initial work began in one of the largest treatment centers for substance use disorders in Chicago. This is where I started my journey working with numerous trauma survivors as well. After moving to Nevada, I operated as the director of intensive outpatient services for both children and adults for two community mental health clinics. This is where I developed my desire to improve the lives of people with ADHD. I became an ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Provider. I specialize in overcoming executive dysfunction and improving a variety of performance aspects including school, career, sport, and overall daily functioning. I am skilled in working with relational issues and helping to improve communication and strengthen relationships. I love helping people understand one another and working with each others strengths and weaknesses to better the overall relationships. Understanding the perspective of another person can allow the compassion needed in difficult moments and ultimately create a space for progress to be made.
