Alexis is a Supervisee in Clinical Social Work and received her Master of Social Work from Brigham Young University in 2022. Alexis has had experience working with children and teenagers with emotional, behavioral, and family concerns in daytime treatment groups and individual therapy. She also has experience working with adolescents and adults with anxiety, depression, eating disorders, relationship issues, and compulsive thoughts and behaviors through her work at Veritas Mental Health in Orem, Utah. Additionally, Alexis has a background in mental health advocacy and community public relations in the Utah County area through her role as Public Relations Specialist at the BYU Comprehensive Clinic. She continues to fight to break down mental health stigma by building relationships and eradicating shame however she can. Alexis enjoys working with adolescents and young adults struggling with anxiety, OCD, eating disorders, depression, healthy sexuality, life transitions, and relationship concerns. She is passionate about helping individuals find peace within and acceptance of themselves while working toward a life full of fulfilling relationships and experiences. She believes that, although it may look different for each person, healing and thriving are available to those who are willing to work for and receive it.
