Alissa came to the counseling profession later in life, shaped by her own journey through seasons of hardship and transformation. These experiences gave her a deep compassion for those walking through pain, and a passion for helping others find healing, hope, and joy—even in difficult times. She holds a Master’s in Social Work from The College of Saint Scholastica and a Bachelor’s in Bible, Counseling, and Youth Ministry from Pillsbury Bible College. Over the years, Alissa has served youth, women, moms, and individuals living with chronic pain, offering a steady, empathetic presence grounded in both personal experience and professional training. Alissa is passionate about creating a safe, shame-free space where people feel heard, valued, and supported. She understands how emotional wounds and relational struggles can lead to disconnection, sadness, and confusion—and she’s committed to walking alongside her clients as they pursue healing, restoration, and renewed connection. Her approach blends evidence-based practices with a deep commitment to gratitude and resilience, believing that gratitude has the power to reshape the brain and strengthen emotional well-being. Training & Certifications: ✔ Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) ✔ Written Exposure Therapy (WET) for Trauma ✔ Foundations One – Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC) While Alissa’s Christian faith informs her perspective, she honors the unique journey of every individual. For those seeking faith-based counseling, she joyfully incorporates biblical principles. For others, she provides the same compassionate, client-centered care—always tailoring therapy to meet each person’s needs and values.
