Introduction

Welcome! My name is Allison Gildner and I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the state of Minnesota. I am trained in perinatal mental health through Postpartum Support International. Are you pregnant or have you given birth in the past two years? Research shows that 1 in 4 women will experience mental health symptoms during or after pregnancy. Sometimes women will express that they feel "crazy" or just don't feel like themselves in motherhood. Sometimes pregnancy, birth, or early parenthood does not go how it should. If you have experienced pregnancy loss through miscarriage, stillbirth, or the death of a child after birth, it is important to understand that the grief and trauma of that loss is valid. I would be honored to come alongside you in this difficult time. Have you found yourself experiencing: anxious thinking, excessive worry, nightmares, feeling down/depressed, having disturbing thoughts, or other changes in mood? You're not alone; it can get better. I thrive on helping my clients achieve a renewed sense of contentment. I am an experienced Psychotherapist with training in trauma, OCD, grief, disordered eating/self-image, and other symptoms associated with the perinatal period. I am a certified EMDR therapist through EMDRIA. I look forward to meeting you and helping you find yourself again. I am currently offering individual therapy appointments: Click on "Request Appointment" to get started.
