Introduction

Dr. Allison (Alli) Young is a board-certified adult psychiatrist based in Palm Beach County, Florida. Through her private practice, she offers telehealth throughout Florida and New York. In her practice, Dr. Young collaboratively creates a plan, including lifestyle interventions, psychotherapy, and medication when appropriate and after careful consideration. The goal of care is not just to eliminate current distress, but to work together to create changes and growth that help individuals manage future hurdles and live overall healthy, fulfilling lives. Dr. Young works with people 18 years and older experiencing mental distress. She treats mental disorders, including but not limited to depression, anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and bipolar disorder. She also helps people without diagnosable disorders manage mental distress from childhood adversity or trauma, life transitions, relationship issues, physical health conditions, among other things. Therapeutically, Dr. Young most often utilizes mindfulness-based therapies, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). She is also trained in supportive and dynamic therapies. Through the use of evidence-based lifestyle interventions, particularly nutrition, Dr. Young has experience helping clients improve chronic health concerns while addressing mental health concerns. Dr. Young is available to collaborate with your current health care providers and address psychological and lifestyle factors that may be contributing to chronic health conditions, including diabetes, obesity, and hypertension. In addition to providing ongoing care, Dr. Young also provides consultation related to evidence-based lifestyle interventions for mental health conditions, tapering psychiatric medications, and general psychiatric care.
