Whether this is your first or fifth time in therapy, the idea of meeting a new therapist and sharing your vulnerabilities with a stranger can feel overwhelming. My goal is to create a space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to explore the experiences that shape you. There’s a popular quote by Brene Brown that talks about vulnerability not being a sign of weakness, rather the birthplace of love, belonging, joy, courage, empathy, and creativity. I believe that healing and growth takes place in community and relationships, with our therapeutic alliance being an opportunity to identify ways you want to grow. I see therapy as a collaborative journey where we work together in a way that feels meaningful to you. I believe you’re the expert on your own life, and my role is to help you explore how your experiences and the world around you shape the way you see yourself and interact with others. As we work through this, we’ll use your values as a compass to help you move through what is within and beyond your control. I draw from a variety of holistic therapeutic approaches, blending strength-based, person-centered, and trauma-informed care to support your journey. At the same time, I integrate techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to offer practical tools for managing thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. My goal is to tailor our work together to meet your unique needs and help you feel empowered in your healing process. I value what you will bring to our sessions and I am so honored to be a part of your counseling journey! If you have any questions about my approach to counseling, please feel free to email me.
