I’m Amanda, and I work at Alabama AEgis and see in-person clients in Tuscaloosa, AL., as well as virtual clients throughout the state. My therapeutic skill-set includes working with individuals 18 and older with issues surrounding aging, anxiety, attachment, adjustments, care-giving, chronic illnesses, grief, identity, self-esteem, and trauma, as well as stressors related to other serious mental health and behavioral challenges. I like to utilize a narrative approach with my clients which allows each client to identify strengths and weaknesses that can be used to overcome the challenges they face. I’m client centered, allowing clients to be the driving force behind his or her own treatment plan. I am a LGBTQIA+ safe space. Therapy with me could include traditional talk-therapy, DBT psychoeducation, and Lifespan Integration (trained through level 3). Amanda sees clients on an individual basis and does not currently see couples or families. Please reach out to me and let’s see if I’d be a good fit for your therapy journey!
