Introduction

I see children, teens, and adults both in-person and online. I also meet with family units when it seems appropriate to reach the goals of therapy. To begin, I encourage you to send me an email message with a short description of why you are exploring therapy. (therapy@amandablatchford.com) Once connected, we can then set up a phone conversation to talk further about your circumstances and answer any questions that you have. We'll see if working together feels like it will meet your needs, and if so, we can schedule a first session. My general style is honest and encouraging, informative and creative. I know that every person is unique, and I genuinely want to know about you and what you are experiencing. We will start with a comprehensive look at the current circumstances in your life. I also like to discuss goals, preferences, strengths, resources, things that you have already tried, and background information that might inform the present. My aim is to provide an environment of deep understanding, natural connection, and some healthy structure to serve as a scaffolding to climb. In this way skill-building and healing can occur together. The ultimate goal is to arrive at a place where everyone is more comfortable in their own life, and more skillful and hopeful when navigating future challenges. I am currently providing treatment in a park-like setting (weather-permitting), as well as offering secure online video sessions. For family sessions and certain individuals I will sometimes suggest meetings in the home environment. Fees are based on a weekly 50-minute Session that includes an average of 30-60 minutes of planning and documenting outside of the session, as well as any brief weekly exchanges we may have to clarify or check-in. For additional therapeutic interactions outside of our regular session I charge a pro-rated fee in 15-minute increments. 50 min rate $162 60 min rate $188 75 min rate $239
