Hi! My name is Amanda Firrincieli and I am currently working as a licensed professional with a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling that I obtained from Saint John's University. I work primarily with pre-teens, teens, and young adults of various backgrounds struggling with anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, trauma-related disorders, suicidal ideation, and self-esteem. I also work with individuals struggling with interpersonal conflict, divorce, and overall stress management. I work predominantly from a cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based framework. I also have ample training in cognitive processing therapy (CPT), which is an evidence-based treatment approach that targets symptoms of trauma as well as exposure and response prevention therapy (ERP), which is an evidence-based treatment approach that targets symptoms of anxiety in various anxiety disorders. My therapeutic style is using appropriate humor and sensitivity to provide a comfortable environment for clients to openly express vulnerable topics.
