As humans, we all experience times when life feels too heavy to carry and navigate alone. While people enter counseling relationships for a variety of reasons, I believe the main goal is to achieve and maintain a sense of balance, with appropriate and successful ways of coping with challenging and heavy times. As a counselor, I have the honor of walking alongside clients on their journey to discover a sense of balance, empowered to handle challenges and experience the joys of their day-to-day lives. I believe that when clients feel respected and truly heard, they feel empowered and capable to grow personally. My approach is rooted in Choice Theory with a strengths-based influence. This approach allows me to work with a variety of client issues including anxiety, trauma, depression, self-esteem, and other issues that impact daily life. I strongly encourage a collaborative client/counselor relationship. I offer traditional (talk) and experiential (sand tray, creative arts, etc.) therapeutic methods in counseling, tailored to specific needs and goals of each client. I currently offer both in-person and telehealth options.
