Introduction

My name is Amanda Rowe, and I have been practicing as a therapist in Arkansas since 2006 in the outpatient, school based and day treatment settings. My specialties are complex trauma and couples therapy, but I also have extensive experience with mood disorders. With my training in EMDR therapy, I can help you to find peace with your past trauma. We can also work together to help you develop the tools to better manage your feelings when things in life get hard. The choice to seek therapy can be scary (especially if you have experienced hard things), but sometimes we need a little bit of extra support. I strive to create a safe, healthy therapeutic relationship with each of my clients because I believe that true growth takes place when you are able to truly feel safe to be yourself. Want to know more about EMDR? EMDR (eye movement densitization and reprocessing) is an innovative approach to trauma treatment that integrates the mind and body in a natural way that is similar to what your brain already does during REM sleep. We are able to use this process to help you to more efficiently and quickly process through memories that might be getting stuck. EMDR can also help you to be able to think in a more positive way about yourself and things that have happened in your life that bother you. If it is your marriage or relationship that is struggling, I can spend time with you and your partner to help you build a stronger understanding of each other and improve the ways you communicate. This can give you both the opportunity to form a stronger emotional connection that’s rooted in trust and mutual respect. At Healing Felds, we use the Gottman Method of couples therapy to help you work through hard things. The Gottman Method is based upon the Sound Relationship House framework that focuses on building a healthy foundation for your relationship while also teaching you skills to navigate the challenges that come in every relationship. Whether you are healing a relationship from breakdowns in trust or are having a hard time with communication, the principles of the Gottman Method can be used to strengthen any relationship. There may be ups and downs on the road to healing, but we can walk this road together. I want nothing more than to help you find peace-peace with yourself and peace in your relationships. If you think I might be the right therapist for you, please contact me to schedule an appointment to begin your journey to healing today.
