Amber has been a nurse for over 15 years and spent the majority of her training in the pediatric cancer specialty. Amber reports she was honored and humbled to be present with tons of families and individuals who were going through “so much and most of them felt they were alone.” She has also experienced the loss of her first husband at the age of 24 while he was deployed with the Army. This along with other life experiences she feels has given her a deep understanding of different psychiatric concerns people can endure especially related to grief, loss, and trauma. “I see people get better by being able to give them a little hope that things can get better and tailoring medications to best fit tolerability and desired effects individual need to improve”. Amber feels she works best with adults age 18+ suffering from depression, anxiety, PTSD, Bipolar, Schizophrenia, and Substance use. Amber is also now seeing pediatrics at this time age 13 plus and has found this work to be equally as rewarding.
