My name is Amberle Carroll, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC). I began working towards my counseling degree at University of Texas of the Permian Basin where I graduated with a Bachelorette in Psychology in 2019. I continued from there onto graduating from Grand Canyon University with my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2023. I continued sharpening my counseling skills in areas of interest including Dungeons and Dragons and nerd-culture where I received my certification in Therapeutic Game Mastering in 2023. I have been working in Arizona as a counselor for the past two years and have been telehealth for the past year as I continue learning and finding new avenues to grow as a person and as a counselor. I am excited to begin learning and connecting with the population of New Mexico! My hobbies include crocheting, spending time with my dog, Asher, going to baseball games, reading, and bike-riding. I enjoy working with teens and young adults through different, fluid interventions that work to help, primarily, depression, trauma, and anxiety as well as to form a confident and assertive individual. I utilize interventions including Person-Centered therapy and Acceptance and Commitment therapy to help individuals have a large amount of direction in the therapeutic process as well as psychoeducation to teach coping mechanisms and self-awareness. I like to liken myself to a fairy godmother, for I believe that therapy is not forever, but I will be there to help when times are difficult. I also utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy to encourage people to gain awareness and control over their thoughts and difficulties. Through my short time of being a counselor, I have found it immensely rewarding to work with my clients and helping them blossom. I am passionate in helping those who seek to put the puzzle pieces together, and I would love to be able to assist anyone who has difficulty in doing so. My LLC is Dandelion Blossom Counseling, for I believe everyone, like a dandelion, will blossom in any and every situation with just a little help from someone who knows how to take care of them.
