There are many reasons that people seek therapy. No matter the specific reason, you are probably here because you are struggling with something that matters to you a great deal. We often do not learn the skills we need to cope with the struggles in our lives, and the coping skills we do have sometimes even make things worse. This isn’t something we choose; pain, suffering, and “mistakes” are part of the human experience. Fortunately, we can learn to relate to our experiences and ourselves in a way that allows us to live much more satisfying and engaged lives. Therapy is a relational process intended to help people increase their self-awareness, self-compassion, and self-efficacy. I have training and experience in treating anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, trauma, grief and loss, issues related to identity, perinatal mood disorders, postpartum anxiety, issues related to reproduction and parenting. My goal is to work with you to help you create a more meaningful, satisfying life. In all of the work that I do, I strive to provide culturally-oriented care to individuals of diverse racial, cultural, sexual and gender identities. If you think I may be a good fit, I hope you will contact me with interest or questions. www.blumetherapy.com
