Most people don’t have endless time and money to spend on long-term psychotherapy. I know that the research doesn’t show that form of therapy to be very effective either. Evidence does show that goal-oriented cognitive behavioral therapy is faster, effective, and longer-lasting. Are you ready to get to the root of your problems and learn tools to overcome them? I can help. I love working with people who enjoy a mix of fun and seriousness as they dig deep and explore the basis of their suffering. I believe that laughter and empathy are the best medicines and I offer both of these. Clients who get the best results understand that although I provide a safe and warm space to talk, they’ll get the most for their time if they are willing to work every day to practice and develop their new skills. Concerns I most often work with are mood disorders, marriage and relationship problems, adjustment issues, sleep problems, and parenting. We can work together to first understand your struggles and then to develop a plan of action. I’ll share some remarkable tools to help you overcome your struggles and we’ll practice together to fine-tune them. Finally, we’ll prepare for the future by anticipating and planning for bumps in the road. Most of my clients complete between 10-20 hours of therapy. Clients can set their own pace by selecting weekly 60 minute sessions or more intensive treatment involving longer or more frequent sessions. I use routine testing to measure change and evaluate when my clients have met their goals and have a reduction in their symptoms. You can expect to graduate with an improved mood, tools to use throughout your life, and a roadmap for the future.
