One of my primary career objectives is to help people helping themselves. I see Psychotherapy as a powerful tool for self-assistance and personal growth. My primary mission as a psychotherapist is to encourage and assist people in finding ways to solve their emotional problems and develop more effective coping skills to deal with their issues. Through therapy, people may find help to improve self-esteem, obtain self-confidence that promotes a better quality of life. Additionally, people may work on interpersonal relationship issues, fears, emotional conflicts, and traumas. I had the privilege of being supervised by Dr. Salvador Minuchin (Structure Family Therapy). Through that experience, I learned how powerful is the family systems and how effective is to work with the core issues that may underlie individual emotional conflicts.
