I am honored to be a part of your journey towards healing, growth, and empowerment. I strive to provide a safe, non-judgmental, and compassionate space for you to feel heard, understood, and achieve your goals. My approach to counseling is strengths-based, trauma-informed, and collaborative. I believe in the importance of providing individualized care depending on where you are at in your journey and where you want to be. I utilize different evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Prolonged Exposure for PTSD, and mindfulness. I have worked in a variety of settings, including non-profit agencies, the correctional system, schools, and currently private practice. I have training and experience helping people overcome trauma-related concerns, anxiety, and depression as well as supporting clients in improving their self-esteem and coping with life transitions. Originally from Brazil, I spent most of my childhood moving around. I have lived in Brazil, Venezuela, Peru, Argentina, and currently Texas. As an immigrant, multilingual, and Latinx therapist I believe in the importance of being culturally affirming and aware of the different aspects and intersections of clients’ identities.
