It takes a lot of bravery to reach out for help, and I can help. I believe that all states of mind are workable, and that everyone comes with their own understanding of how to get better. By listening closely to you and bringing my therapeutic expertise, I can work with you to find where real change is possible in your life. I have a proven record of helping clients to feel more grounded in their lives and more empowered to make their own choices. I specialize in treating trauma, disordered eating, and eating disorders. I am also experienced with treating anxiety and phobias. I use mindfulness practices to help you heal. I offer evidence-based practices, including DBT, to help you build the life you want. I use EMDR to treat trauma. I come from an anti-diet and intuitive eating background and bring this into my work with eating. I received my Bachelors in Psychology from Warren Wilson College in Swannanoa, NC, and I received my Masters in Contemplative Psychotherapy from Naropa University in Boulder, CO. In my free time, I can be found reading, hiking, tending my chickens, and doing yoga. I also love gardening and am ready to talk about plants at any time of the day.
