Aloha and welcome to Psychotherapy Hawaii. Therapy can often be a daunting and scary process for individuals. "What if my therapist doesn't understand me? Does this mean I have a problem? What if it doesn't help?" I aim to provide a nurturing, nonjudgmental, compassionate, and supportive environment to support you with all the difficulties life may throw in your path. I like to use a multi-faceted approach tailored to the unique needs of YOU and to best help you with whatever you are struggling with. I believe that change happens when one is given the guidance to draw on your own strengths and realize your potential to live a fulfilling, happy life. I integrate various models of therapy throughout my work including (but not limited to): person-centered, a "here-and-now" approach focusing on present feelings, developmental, strengths-based, and mindfulness techniques. I am experienced working with adolescents, adults, military, veterans, and military spouses/partners who are coping with anxiety, depression, relationship issues and family conflicts, trauma, self-esteem difficulties, and other concerns. I have extensive experience with adolescents and trauma survivors. I am looking forward to working with you and helping you on this journey!
