Introduction

My approach to therapy uses conversation, curiosity, and humor to help clients regain a sense of control of their sensations, thoughts, emotions, and behaviors under stress. I believe that clients have the power to feel safer in their bodies relative to others and their environments by observing their perceptions, reinterpreting them, and accepting what they can and cannot control about them. I also believe that history, culture, and hierarchies of race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, spirituality, class, ability, and neurodiversity have a role in influencing such perceptions and how they can be reinterpreted. While success in therapy looks different for every client, I believe that clients grow most when they question their perceptions that prevent them from empathizing with themselves and others. When clients do this, they tend to leave therapy less judgmental of themselves and others and more resilient to changes in their bodies and the world around them. I welcome a broad diversity of clients to my caseload. Feel free to reach out to me to schedule a consultation. I look forward to connecting with you!
