If there is one thing that I’ve learned in my more than fifteen years working as a therapist, it would be that life can be rough no matter who you are. And sometimes rough in ways you never thought it could be. How do you handle those rough times? Have the ways you thought would fix things not worked or only led to more frustration? I work with individuals and couples feeling lost or unsure of what to do when they experience rough times. Having been through tough times in life myself, I love working with people to help them find the best ways for them to deal with whatever rough patch, big or small, they may find themselves in. I specialize in working with individuals and couples on issues including, but definitely not limited to, relationship problems, anger/emotional management, communication issues, substance abuse, stress management, grief, parenting, and struggles common to life transitions such as getting married, having children, losing and/or changing jobs, etc. My role as your therapist is a mix of coach, consultant, and teammate. While I have a no-nonsense and direct approach in therapy, I pride myself on having a great sense of understanding for all people no matter their issues. Confidentiality and commitment are paramount to me while all that I ask of you is a willingness to learn and push yourself to grow.
