Hello! My name is Angie Dockins and I started as a mental health therapist in 2011 and have worked extensively with those suffering with intense emotions, and relationship issues. and has at times lead to harmful behaviors such as self harm, substance use, trouble keeping jobs, sleep issues, etc. My training started with Dialectical Behavioral Therapy which helps those who struggle with intense emotions, difficulties regulating emotions, struggles with communication such as asserting oneself, saying no when needed ,and impulsivity that has impacted quality of life. Since then, I have worked on gaining training in therapy such as EMDR which helps to process traumatic and highly stressful events and childhood trauma. I also really enjoy working with clients who are experiencing major life changes, and adjusting as well as managing life and work burnout. I would love to chat to see if we would be a good fit, and walk side by side with you on your healing journey, for whatever that is for you. Also at our practice, we do offer "walk and talk therapy" which allows for the therapist and clt to walk outside to conduct therapy sessions, to allow body movement if necessary.
