Have you suffered from a Narcissistic abusive relationship and wish to recover mentally and emotionally? Have you found yourself in a pattern of toxic or dysfunctional relationships? Have you suffered from religious abuse or cult membership? Do you tend to be a caregiver at the expense of your own needs? These kinds of experiences leave a lasting, negative impact on one’s mental and emotional well-being resulting in a life-long trauma wound. If we have grown up in a dysfunctional family system, we are likely to develop ineffective coping mechanisms to survive amidst the dysfunction. Unfortunately, these coping mechanisms are damaging to our current functioning. We may even find ourselves in toxic relationships time and again and not understand how to break the cycle. This can leave us in a state of perpetual anxiety, depression, isolation, and confusion. Toxic relationships are not limited to romantic partners, they can be with our parents, siblings, friends, and even work relations. In my therapy practice, I address the root causes of codependent behaviors and address early childhood experiences in dysfunctional family systems and how these experiences relate to our ineffective behavioral patterns today. I also have extensive experience working with those who have struggled with addiction and Borderline Personality Disorder. My ideal client is one who is willing to self-reflect and do the work to begin the healing process from their traumatic childhood wounds and begin setting healthy boundaries for themselves and developing healthy coping skills. I believe in helping individuals to achieve mental, emotional, and spiritual balance by utilizing a combination of therapeutic models to assist my clients in their healing journey. This includes a Humanistic approach, EMDR, Mindfulness, CBT, and inner-child work. I am available for in-office and virtual sessions.
