Introduction

I am a psychotherapist passionate about mental wellness, working to inspire and give hope to people who struggle with mental illness and psychological stress. After working for 18 years at the Mental Health Clinic in the Hall Health Center at the University of Washington, including 12 years as the director, I started my full-time private psychotherapy practice in 2013. I primarily spend my time in sessions for 20+ clients per week. My clients range from college students to business executives referred to me by the University of Washington and several corporate referral programs. I am available for corporate wellness programs in addition to individual, couples, groups, and family sessions. I work with companies to promote mental wellness at work through hosting sessions on conflict resolution, stress management, and mindfulness. I maintain an honorary position as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Science at the University of Washington. I also served as an expert advisor to Quartet Health, a company working to create a synergy between physical and mental wellness management through technology and improve access to mental health counseling. Before my time at the University of Washington, I obtained a Masters in Psychology from Antioch University, served on both the Board of Trustees and the Continuing Education Advisory Board, and won the Distinguished Alumni award in 2003. Before moving to the U.S., I spent six years in London as a research fellow at the Royal Free Hospital and obtained an M.B.B.S. from JIPMER in Pondicherry, India.
