I opened my private practice after 17 years at Kaiser Permanente Richmond, where I practiced general adult psychiatry with a focus on survivors of childhood trauma. I graduated from Harvard Medical School and trained in psychiatry at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. I was on the staff at Mass General and the clinical faculty of Harvard Medical school for several years before moving on to Hadassah Medical Center in Jerusalem, and then to The Permanente Medical Group. I am board certified in psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and licensed for the practice of medicine by the Medical Board of California. I work two half days a week on Mondays and Tuesdays. My calendar includes periods of travel and retreat that take me away from my practice for as much as 2 months per year.
