Welcome! Having practiced social work for over twenty years in a medical setting that focused on both mental and physical health, a holistic and positive approach to treatment is essential. I stress the mind and body connection while taking into account community and environmental factors. Loss comes in many forms and affects all a person’s systems. Areas of expertise in women’s health are postpartum depression, prolonged bed rest, and menopause and trauma after hysterectomy. Other areas include caregiver burnout related to dementia, adjustment to illness, and trauma after an acute health event. Therapy can be intimidating, but I am here to meet you right where you are and to walk with you on your journey to wellness.
