I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker trained in Family Therapy and other evidenced based practices. I have worked in different areas of the human services field since 2000. This has provided me with experiences in different topics ranging from foster care to end of life. My clinical work has included treating severe trauma, learning disabilities, substance use, mood disorders, and bereavement. I have also been able to teach young clinicians and build a talented team of Hispanic mental health professionals at a non-for-profit agency. I believe behavioral health clinicians need to stay current with ongoing research and treatment modalities to provide the most effective therapeutic interventions just as the best neurosurgeon would. I believe this has been pivotal in my own practice to ensure the best quality of care for my clients. Furthermore, I try to instill this love for ongoing learning for the students I supervise and strive to inspire the professionals I provide consultation for. Change is possible; improving your life and achieving stability is possible. With the right tools you can build the purposeful, meaningful life you've been longing for.
