April Dodson, M.S., LMFT earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Walden University in Minnesota and master’s degree for Marriage and Family Therapy at Texas Woman’s University. April is also a Prepare and Enrich facilitator for premarital and marital couples. Her clinical experience includes, but is not limited to, working with families, couples, adults, and adolescents facing anger issues, PTSD/trauma, infidelity, life changing events, grief and loss, self-injury, and medical issues including disabilities. In her free time, April enjoys reading, fishing, traveling, and spending time with her family. April is dedicated to helping others through various life challenges by identify their strengths and facing challenges in an open, supportive environment that encourages positive personal growth. April is working only via teletherapy. April accepts all forms of payment. Insurances she accepts are BlueCross/BlueShield, Cigna, Aetna, Optium, United Behavioral Health, and Managed Health Network. April works with clients 14 years old and above. April has a multidisciplinary approach to therapy with a focus of the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
