I am a Psychodynamic psychologist that integrates Cognitive Behavioral and Mindfulness therapies to help clients meet their goals. I am also a culturally responsive and trauma informed practitioner that pays attention to the intersection of our identities, experiences and our society as they relate to race, sex, gender, class, sexual orientation, ability and age. I work with all my clients to develop a safe and collaborative relationship in which we can address their goals together. Through this relationship I aim to help people develop the self-awareness and skills they need to live authentically and confidently. I have over 16 years of training and experience as a practitioner and a professor training clinicians to become therapists. My areas of expertise include self-care, stress management, depression, anxiety, race-related stress and trauma, LGBTQIA identities, infertility and cancer. As a former tenure-track professor, I have a special interest in helping BIPOC Academics manage the effects of interpersonal and institutional oppression on their health and careers. My clients tell me I provide empathic and direct feedback that helps them feel better and progress toward their goals. I invite you to call or email me today to schedule a free consultation.
