I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Texas and Maryland (LCSW-C) with over 15 years of experience in child welfare, adoption, and foster care. I hold a master’s degree in social work from the University of Houston and an undergraduate degree in Social Work from Stephen F. Austin State University. I began my career in the child welfare sector, working with children and families in adoption and foster care. My professional experience also includes managing a grant-funded program to assist families impacted by hurricane damage and working with the Head Start Program. Throughout my career, I developed a deep understanding of the complexities faced by children from challenging backgrounds, as well as youth and families navigating trauma and loss. In 2022, I transitioned into psychotherapy, joining Serenity Place, where I have expanded my expertise in working with couples, individuals, families, and youth. As a direct yet empathetic clinician, I strive to meet clients where they are to guide them through their healing journeys. I am committed to trauma-informed care, recognizing the profound impact trauma has on individuals and families. By integrating evidence-based modalities with a strengths-based approach, I help clients regain control, heal, and achieve personal empowerment. My goal is to provide a safe and supportive space for clients to be heard and to encourage growth beyond hurt. I believe that healing is possible and look forward to walking alongside my clients as they work toward a brighter future.
