s a licensed clinical professional counselor, a nationally certified counselor and a board-certified dance/movement therapist. She holds an MS in Dance/Movement therapy from Pratt Institute, NY; as well as an MS in clinical counseling psychology from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science, IL. She is additionally trained as a yoga and prenatal yoga teacher. She has worked in inpatient programs, day treatment, partial hospitalization/intensive outpatient and outpatient settings since 2009. Through her practice, Ariele guides her clients in trying on new qualities of actions/behaviors and thoughts. She assists her clients in learning how to move metaphorically and physically in new and healthier ways, allowing for an increased sense of control, mastery and self-empowerment. She works with children from age eight, adolescents and adults with a focus on depression, anxiety, trauma, emotional regulation and body/food issues. Her approach is holistic, as she incorporates all aspects of body, mind, diet, activity level, relationships, and environment into her wellness plans. Mindfulness, which includes breath work and meditation, movement exploration as well as cognitive behavior therapy are integral components in her counseling.
