Artie (they/them) is in the process of completing their Master’s in Counseling with a focus on religious trauma and queer-affirming therapy. They have a bachelors in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies as well as a bachelor’s in Communications. Their interest in communication styles and meaning-making is doubled in their Masters of Gender and Culture studies from the University College Dublin Ireland. In their clinical practice, they create a warm and welcoming environment that is conducive to radical authenticity with narrative and contextual therapeutic approaches that seeks to allow for meaning-making and clients claiming their own experience. Their interest in culture, religion, gender, and communication make for a therapeutic space that is accepting of the wide variety of human experiences with a unique understanding of interpersonal communication. They have special interests in queer, poly, and kink-knowledgable therapy. They also have a traditional Christian background and have sought out education based on religious trauma and therapeutic approaches to spiritual needs.
