I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I earned a bachelor’s degree in social work at Meredith College, and a master’s degree in social work at NC State University. Prior to joining private practice, I served as a social worker in various community-based mental health settings providing in-home counseling services and outpatient therapy. As a clinician, I utilize a humanistic and person-centered approach so my clients and I can co-create a safe space to meet clients where they are without judgment. I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness techniques, and I am trained in a variety of trauma-informed evidence-based practices. I provide support for teens (16+), young adults and adults experiencing stress, trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions, identity stressors, racial/cultural oppression, women's issues, relationship stress, and perinatal mental health (pregnancy, postpartum depression and anxiety, infertility, pregnancy loss, and birth trauma).
