My name is Ashley Schmidt, the owner of Mind Canvas Therapy. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master’s degree from WSU. I have over 8 years of experience as a therapist. I hold the highest level of licensure for Social Work in the State of Kansas, earned through completing 3,000 hours of supervised clinical work after graduation. With a specialization in working with children, I am dedicated to providing a safe and nurturing environment where young minds can express themselves and grow. My goal is to support you and your child in developing a deeper understanding of the strengths that are uniquely theirs and using those strengths to assist in the healing process. In my practice, I draw on a diverse range of therapeutic modalities rooted in humanistic and client-centered principles to support the unique needs of each client. I utilize specialized techniques I've gained through various Play Therapy education workshops. I currently accept clients ages 4-18.
