I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Bachelors' in psychology from the University of Virginia and a Masters' in professional counseling from Liberty University. I have lived in the Charlottesville area for 35 years. Over the past 20 years I have worked with Children and families and am currently seeing adult and adolescents on an individual basis dealing with a variety of issues including: anxiety, depression, bipolar, post traumatic stress, trauma of any kind, grief, and separation anxiety. Some of the work I do includes cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy, brief solutions Therapy, and some dialectal behavioral therapies. It is my goal to partner with individuals on their journey and assist in any way possible the healing process. We are all human beings and we all need love, nurturance, a sense of belonging and well being and I hope to help others develop these feelings in their lives. I am an interactive, solution-focused therapist. My therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. I integrate complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, I work with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.
