I see couples and individuals from all backgrounds, orientations (gay, trans or straight) ages (18 and up) and at all developmental stages, I work with couples and individuals healing from infidelity, sexual or emotional, childhood trauma and those motivated toward a future of sustained growth and commitment. My areas of expertise are grief/loss, substance abuse, adoption and infertility. I have a bachelor's degree from Suny-Binghamton and a master's in clinical social work from the University of California at Berkeley. I have advanced training in couples treatment, individual counseling and clinical supervision. Prior to launching this solo practice I worked for DC Talk Therapy for 9 years, and at the Wendt Center for Loss and Healing in Washington D.C. for 2 years. I continue to run groups for parents at the Barker Foundation, an adoption agency in Bethesda, MD where I have worked since 1998. I have done interviews for local TV stations on the benefits of couples therapy during the Coronavirus pandemic, I offer daytime and evening appointments.
