Introduction

Barbara Ramos-Cryer, LCSW is the owner and Mental health therapist at Beehive Family Services. Barbara has dedicated her career to working with children and their families. Originally from Argentina, she came to the United States at 12 years old. She's bilingual and bicultural. In 2018 she became part of a blended family when she met her now husband. She has two biological and five bonus children, all of whom keep her and her husband on their toes! She began working as a family advocate in 2011 teaching parents parenting skills, then transitioned to working at a residential treatment facility for teenagers. She also worked for three years with the division of child and family services. In 2015 she graduated with a Bachelor's in Social Work from the University of Utah and obtained a Master’s in Social Work from Boise State University in 2018. She began working as a therapist in 2018, she has treated people from all ages and various backgrounds. She utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, trauma focused therapy and EMDR. She offer services to children and their families going through high conflict situations like divorce, domestic violence, foster care and/or other related trauma. She also provide services to young adults who have been affected by the above traumas as children. She is also able to help children who have not necessarily suffered trauma but are struggling with anxiety and depression.
