Mind Mechanics Counseling, a mental health clinic located in beautiful Charleston, West Virginia, specializes in providing transformative counseling services to men and their families. Our mission is to empower men to navigate the complexities of modern relationships while remaining true to themselves. Mind Mechanics provides tools and skills to embolden men to connect deeply while remaining men, allowing them to flourish in both their relationships and personal lives. Do you feel stuck in your life, your past, your anxiety, depression, anger, apathy, overwhelm, grief, or PTSD? As a man, it's hard to seek help. You don't have to carry the weight of your struggles alone. All men feel sad, afraid, anxious, doubtful, amongst other feelings. You're still a man. I provide a safe, non-judgmental space where you can find the support and guidance to fix the problem. If you fully invest in this process, expect to feel lighter, more effective, efficient, powerful, and clear about where you want to go and what you want to do with your life. While I specialize in men, I love serving people of all kinds. With over two decades of experience working with children and adults as a teacher and counselor, I bring a wealth of knowledge and insight to my practice as a psychotherapist and parent coach. I specialize in working with people with PTSD, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, ADHD, the parenting of difficult children, and navigating divorce/loss. Men's mental health issues, whether it's relationship challenges, anxiety, depression, PTSD, ADHD, or parenting are complex and deeply personal. Societal expectations of traditional gender roles make it challenging for men to express emotions and seek help. I understand these unique challenges and can provide the support and guidance you need. I love my work because with the new therapeutic techniques, I guide clients to rapid symptom reductions from anxiety, depression, angry outbursts, and PTSD. Together we will work to clear the layers of trauma that obscure the true you, so that you can feel and act with reduced anxiety, racing thoughts, worries, flashbacks, and nightmares and connect meaningfully with your loved ones.
