* Do you want to make changes in your life and are not sure where to start? * Do most people think you are fine, but you are secretly struggling? * Are you looking to deepen your connection with others and your authentic self? * Are you experiencing stress, anxiety, depression, grief, a life transition? * Have you or a loved one been diagnosed with a life-altering illness or event that is impacting your mental health? You are not alone. These are just a few of the challenges we experience as we go through different stages of life. Therapy can help you to move forward, building resilience, gaining new insights, abilities, and a better sense of yourself. Finding a therapist when you are struggling can be overwhelming. I am a warm, compassionate, open-minded therapist who works collaboratively with you to nurture personal growth and healing. We all are dynamic beings who need help at times, so it's not about finding a diagnosis, it's about finding relief from suffering and increasing a sense of well-being. A particular interest of mine is how our early childhood experiences and attachment styles influence all aspects of ourselves and our relationships with others. My therapeutic approach is informed by this holistic lens, and I will partner with you to discover your strengths, practice new coping strategies, and shift old patterns that no longer serve you. My role is to be attuned to you, provide support, hold hope when needed, and propose possible insights and suggestions. I am a LGBTQIA+ ally. My practice focuses on helping people 18 years and older. Some reasons people see me include going through a life transition, feeling depressed and/or anxious, personal growth, relationship issues, ADHD, grieving a loss, and challenges related to having or caring for someone with a neurological condition. My background in outpatient behavioral health, employee assistance consulting, caregiver support groups, home care services, human resource consulting and as a Social Worker at Stanford’s Neuroscience Center gives me a unique perspective to assist you with information and resources, as well.
