Life is full of difficult moments made especially challenging when we are in them alone. My first priority as a counselor is to meet my clients where they are; to be with them in their hardship and pain. The feelings and situations that brought you to this page are not something to be belittled. They matter, just as you do. I would be honored to walk beside you in this journey. You deserve someone who cares and you are so worthy. I specialize in working with adults and adolescents. I work a lot with clients struggling with anxiety, trauma, depression, relationship issues, etc. I have a passion for helping those who have encountered religious trauma (especially LGBTQ+) and love talking with clients about their faith/spirituality if they so desire. I use an integrative approach, implementing Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), but will cater my approach to each client’s specific needs. In sessions we will collaborate together to find ways for you to be able to live in line with your values, even in the face of distressing thoughts, feelings, and situations. A Little About Me I received a B.A. in Psychology from Georgetown University, a M.Ed. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Auburn University, and I completed my clinical work at the College of Charleston Counseling Center. I have over 5 years of experience working in the mental-health field. I'm from right here in the Lowcountry. I love being outside and enjoy hobbies like surfing, hiking, and sailing. I currently live in West Ashley with my wife and our dog, Cricket.
